Depends... · 1:54am Jan 24th, 2013
Depending entirely on how the last season ends, my fan-fiction may or may not hit the chopping block.
It's sad to think such things, but I am aware that I do not need to be hasty. So why this talk about chopping blocks?
You may know the rumors of Alicorn Twilight for the season finale spreading around. I'm thinking and hoping that does not happen, but if it does, I'm not certain what I'll do (provided they make "Alicorn Twilight" a permanent change, thus changing the nature of the show completely. (While the little girls would not care, Hasbro is still making a lot of money off of the bronies. This change doesn't seem too likely because of the potential fan-loss)). I could give the show a chance and see if I warm up to it once again (likely), choose to ignore current cannon and be a bigger fan of the fandom (unlikely), or even leave the fandom from disgust (likely). ...Weird... Leaving ponies because of the plot?
I guess I kinda feel glum. I'm aware that I should probably ignore rumors until proven, but it's still gonna gnaw for a while.
Either way... If "Alicorn Twilight" is cannon to a permanent extent, it's going to DESTROY my fan-fiction.
Well actually counter-rumors are a Rarity episode could be the finale, but the finale is actually where Twilight does a spell that changes the Cutie Marks and destinies, so she has to 'write her own magic', that I don't understand. The source of this rumor is the marketing picture of an alicorn Twilight, which is presumably non-canon. Personally I do not see Twi becoming an alicorn because A) It would result in way more studying for Twi to handle possibly, B) If Twi did a Sonic Rainboom it would automatically make her OP, C) Rumors are rumors. People said Discord was once Starswirl, there was even a page with FAKE "leaked" possible Discord lines which weren't said in Keep Calm and Flutter On. D) Fan loss, like you mentioned.![:twilightblush:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightblush.png)
There's my 2 bits.

Take 10 bits, my good man! I agree!
744938 Also, I hardly believe the next step Celestia mentioned would be ascension to Alicorn-ship, more likely the kind of studying Twi did in Spike at Your Service, and possibly dark magic, which could corrupt her Alicorn form if so, a very unlikely scenario. My thoughts would be rather than becoming a princess alicorn (although with her brother's marriage, she's royalty by marriage), her magic skill would, if not already, make her the Starswirl of her generation, who is better as his own character and not Discord. We already saw Trixie's alicorn amulet, and that could spell trouble for Twilight if at any point, if she were to become an Alicorn, seek out the artifact to enhance her power to impress Celestia. Take my reasoning into account and apply to it your own, my friend. Pass on what you have learned. -The words of Yoda.
