I don't really know how to say this, so I'm gonna go out and say it.
I've written maybe 1200 words in the past month on Hope in the Storm.
It hasn't been because I've been busy or I've been distracted. I've been wracking my brain and squeezing out literally all I can think of for hours a day, be it on the actual document or on planning. Inspiration, as a lot of you can understand, comes from the heart, and my heart's just not in it for the time being. I wanted this, and still want this, to be the best story I can make it, and I just can't do that right now. The things that have always mattered to me more are taking all of my focus. I'm not a writer at heart. I like it, but it's not what I truly love. I hope you all will understand that I need to take my brain off this for a while. I may write a little on the off time—possibly the more important scenes that I already have planned out—but for now I am declaring an indefinite hiatus from writing. Expect a chapter this weekend, and then I will see you all again soon. This is actually kind of breaking my heart a little...
No worries! And besides, what you got so far is outstanding! this coming from a guy who generally writes 6,000+ words a chapter!
See you when you come back, hopefully you find yourself missing writing and come back with pockets full of inspiration. Just don't take too long! Speaking of your other love, let's go take a look at your music shall we?

Sad to hear it, but you gotta do watcha gotta do. I'll say that I've enjoyed your story, and I hope you eventually come back to it, but more importantly, thanks for sharing it with us in the first place.
Don't know if this'll actually get read or not, but I just thought I should say something. Everybody has times where they have to take a step a way for a while, or take a hiatus. Inspiration is a fleeting thing, and sometimes there are more important things than writing ponies, and sometimes not everyone is a writer at heart. Just take a step back for a while if that's what you need, your followers will understand.
And you wanted your story to be great? I'll tell you right now that it is; it's one of my favorites and I love it. It's part of the reason I followed you in the first place you know (there are many)? I love the way that your stories make me feel, the way they make me think, the way they resonates with me and inspire me to write and become better. I made that commitment to you because I respect you as an author, and quite frankly, you inspire me. I wanted to see what glorious works you would put out in the future, and I'll say that I'm damn glad I did. If I hadn't followed you I would have been missing out on some great stuff.
I know I'm not the best or most popular writer, heck, you're a thousand times better than I can ever hope to be. I just wanted you to know that your loyal followers respect you, and that we will be waiting till you get back from your hiatus with baited breathe and cute Fluttershy pictures to welcome you back. Take all the time you need, I'll eagerly await your return, be a few weeks, months, or even years.

As much as I love your writing, I totally get this.
Hell, I've been planning on writing for the past seven months, and still have yet to give anything that I promised to my followers.
Just do what you love. That's what I've been doing. Drawing. I'm an artist at heart. Whatever you are, I'm sure you're good at it. You're a real talented guy, especially at writing.
I can't wait to see what you have for us when you do get around to writing.
