Artwork, New Tumblr, and Serious Illness · 11:42pm Jan 8th, 2013
So things have been a bit interesting on my end as of late.
About a month ago, I tried to take up sketching, both as a silly side project and a way to relieve stress. I didn't expect much to come of it, but I was wrong. Not only has it proven to be a fun and therapeutic distraction, but it also turns out I have a knack for drawing Fallout: Equestria stuff, among other misc artwork. I've recently picked up a digital art tablet, so maybe I'll be able to start doing my own cover art and fic illustrations. If you want to see some of my work, here's my deviantART gallery.
On a related note, I've also started one of those MLP-related Ask/Roleplay Tumblrs. It's called Ask The Changeling Spy, and it's about an inept Changeling spy named Luci. So if you want to see a Changeling make a fool of herself and occasionally be adorable, check it out!
Now, on to more serious topics...
As you may have noticed, my writing productivity has been low for the last few weeks, aside from a couple of chapters in a new Fallout: Equestria fic. (Which you should totally read because it's totally awesome. ) Anyhoo, this isn't just because I've been doing art. Rather, it's mostly due to me being distracted by stress, some mess involving potentially moving out, and issues with my health. In fact, it's because of my health that I had to abandon my plans to move out - woohoo.
My on-and-off illness has actually gotten pretty bad lately, and I discovered the other day that I've lost over 10% of my body weight in the last couple of months. And I was slightly underweight to begin with, probably. So that's bad. I've also been dealing with a lot of fatigue, mood swings, mild depression, and general lack of motivation. And, well, it's kinda hard to write cute pony-themed romantic comedies when you feel like crap and barely have the motivation or focus to anything in general. Oddly enough, this constant state of "bleh" has also been occasionally punctuated by days of crazy energy and creativity, possibly indicating Bipolar Disorder, which runs in my family. That's potentially problematic, to say the least.
But, some good news. Finally managed to see a doctor today, and they think they may know what illness/disorder I've got, though it's gonna take some testing and process-of-elimination to prove it. And before you ask, I'd rather not go into the specifics about what's potentially wrong with me, though I will say it's not potentially fatal or anything THAT bad, so don't worry. They also think the mood swings, depression, and crazy energy spikes are actually a result of the main illness and my body's reactions to it, rather than their own problem(s), though that'll take awhile to determine for sure. We'll know more tomorrow when we get the bloodwork and stuff back, and figure out where to go from there. I may have to see a specialist or two, and recover probably won't be quick and easy.
Point is, now that we kinda know what's going on, I'll soon be (probably) getting my health and stuff back under control, and hopefully regain that spark of creativity and motivation that I so desperately need. It may take a couple of weeks, but hopefully I'll be able to start writing properly again soon. Hopefully.
But hey, at least I have a doctor's excuse for my lack of productivity now!
-----------------------------------------
TL;DR: I've started doing artwork, I started a Changeling Spy Tumblr, and apparently I've been unproductive due to a legit, serious illness and resulting complications. Things should be getting better soon, though. Hopefully.
What does TL;DR mean?
Thoughts and prays to you friend.
Well much as it sucks to hear you're unwell, i'm glad to hear they may be able to fix it. Good luck!

691375 Ah, well that explains a lot. Thanks, and I hope that you get back to 100 percent health soon. I will be praying for you.
Hope you feel better. And update us on your illness.
