    Pure Nostalgia

This is the feeling I'm experiencing as I sit in my bed typing this after returning from my 9:00 viewing of Jurassic Park (IN 3D!!!).

As with every kid in the 90's, I grew up loving dinosaurs. My beloved Land Before Time tape was so worn through that my parents had to go through three different VHS copies! I loved dinosaurs that much!

    And then Jurassic Park...

    I saw it.

    I'm drunk off my ass

No way of denying it. I'm drunk off my asss right now. Had two cops at my family's "Mayans were wrong" party (fully endorsed by Pinkie Pie! (but apparently, I'm not drunk enough to forget the bbc code for a smiling Pinkie~! :twilightsheepish:)) Not to break it up! But they were professionals. They both tested me and my dad.

    We both failed miserably.

    Me worse than him.

    I got a banner!

    Best. Birthday. Ever!

I come on today, and find that someone (Bright Heart) actually took time out of their lives to make a beautiful banner for my first group The Hero... Nightmare Moon? without being commissioned or even asked!

GO! SEE! THE HOBBIT!!!!!!! · 6:15am Jan 6th, 2013

Just came back from The Hobbit.

What the hell is everyone complaining about? It was awesome!

There were some things that were movie filler (Azog and his back story with Thorin was NOT in the book), and there were some discrepancies (Bilbo accidentally invited Gandalf to tea in the book, which opened the door for the others, minor but what they did in the movie made Gandalf out to be such a dick in that moment), but they were easy to get over, or were so freaking awesome that I just didn't mind! (two words: Rock Giants. My mouth was dropped the entire time they were on screen! Damn you 2003 Hobbit game! You made the Rock Giants so lame compared to what Jackson did!)

It's slow? You had three previous movies to get used to the speed.

It's not as grand? There's no overbearing, world ending evil to combat.

A story is a story. If it's told well, that's all that should matter.

Thankfully though, this story was told by a master!

I give this movie a "YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS IN THEATERS" rating (because I have no number system like a guy I know who does movie reviews named James Eagan). Soak up the awesome view of those giants on the big screen while it lasts!
