Just a bit of fanservice · 2:46am Jan 6th, 2013
Well I'm way behind on not just writing, but letting people know I'm still active. It's been difficult to remain active in the community recently mostly due the charity project and several personal life events.
The good news is, the charity is over. Complete. Package was packed shipped and received earlier this week. Thanks again to all out there who helped me with it in any way. The Havivys are very appreciative of your love and friendship.
In case you didn't see it on EqD, the final publishing for the charity is available online as well. LINK
As for me, with that out of the way I'm finally feeling the long overdue need to get back to writing. I just started the next canto of Gravity, and it's only about 2k words thus far and is likely going to need heavy revisions once the draft is complete. I'm a bit rusty from months of being involved in other activities. Due to my still semi-hectic lifestyle, I can't promise it anytime in the immediate future, and I don't want to rush it. Hope you can all remain patient just a little longer.
Lastly, I very rarely recommend fics, but I'm still kinda in awe over a new story by an acquaintance of mine. Aurora (who writes the popular Bechdel's Law with assistance from my friend Steel Resolve) recently posted two chapters beginning a new story called Fanservice. I will give the caveat that the story is mature and definitely deserves that label, but it is truly remarkable and should be on your read list. It's difficult for me to describe the allure of the story without ruining the fun, but I promise you won't regret it. Aurora weaves a tale that is wondefully descriptive, sweet, and touching, while at the same time being a total satire of fanfiction in general and a horrribly raunchy roll in the hay. It's almost too smart for its own good, and as critical as I typically am of fics, I can find littleto no reason that anyone should not enjoy this fic, even if some of the subject matter is a bit disturbing in your opinion. It may not change your mind if you don't like reading mature fiction, but you won't be able to deny that THIS is what matuee fiction should aspire to be.

Horribly raunchy? Disturbing? Out-of-context quotes?! Sounds like my (kind of) fic!
Seriously though, thank you so much for the awesomely motivating comments, this recommendation -- which I'm way late in becoming aware of, I know! -- and, to top it all off, the plug on your userpage. <3
