Stariway to Equestria turns 1 year ! · 1:33am Jan 4th, 2013
This day, exactly one year ago, I was posting the prologue and chapter 1 of Stairway to Equestria. I can't really believe it's been 1 year since then, means I'm a really slow writer. Fortunately, I can assure you all that this year the story will be finished !

Very lovely chapter, and I love the name. "Midnight Blink"...it's got that ring to it like almost all pony names and it's kick butt.
Going through that specific chapter I've come to realize how easy you were on me, but most importantly, how much I've learned about writing fanfic since then. I still have a lot to learn but what I meant by what I said earlier is that the first chapters are of an inferior quality compared to the current ones. That however will change over the next weeks as I am currently in the process of re-editing the first 6-7 chapters. Nothing story-wise will be changed, but a lot of improvements will be brought to phrasing, dialogue and flow. And relax, I will still be working on updates.
As far as the story goes, as I said, I should be able to finish it in 2013. I finally decided what the end is going to be, after a internal debate of about three-four months (I'm not kidding, I was really stressed at some point about the direction Stairway to Equestria was heading). Although there are a lot more chapters until that point, I just want to assure you all this will never go on hiatus unless real life issues really take over.

PS: Reviews, comments and critique are as always accepted and very much encouraged, hearing your opinions on the new chapters (both positive and negative) make it all the hard work worth-wile.

Yeah... sorry haven't commented, but been lazy or wanted to re-read chapters, in case I missed some things would've commented on. Maybe I'll do so with the last couple, even though should keep up to date on most recent one, probably.
Well, surprised to hear you think will get it done this year, especially with the length of some of these chapters and the fact that currently, don't think anywhere near done on the whole current situation (Blink going to Griffon lands to receive judgment after Celestia passed her supposed judgment, just because of her fear of what his and Twilight's roles are, coming together). Not to mention, only on act 2 and dunno how many this is supposed to have, 30-40? If not more, maybe.
Well anyway, hope that once this one gets done, will feel like doing more stories; that is if Blink's tales wouldn't continue past then, but I suppose that's your call if/when the time comes. Glad to hear you're still passionate about it at this time and hope to read more soon!

And I see, even though doesn't entirely answer about number of actual chapters (not counting the Prologue, I guess, now that I think about it). But I can wait to find out, if don't have a rough estimate in mind at this time. Same with if have other ideas in mind, since said you have a lot to learn still about writing fanfics, that is.
