Just watched the premiere, first two episodes of the new season.
And I think we are off to a FINE start with this season! 
God, I've missed this show. Do yourselves a favor and look into it. This is one of the best Superman things - hell, one of the best superhero things in general - out there in a LONG time.

I have to admit, I haven't given much thought to the show. Never been a huge Superman fan.

That's fair enough, each to their own and all. (I must confess, it took me until I was in college to really get the appeal of the Man of Tomorrow.)
But I'd definitely recommend giving this show a try. It's just been a very charming show, whether you like Superman specifically or not. I've been very impressed with a lot of the characterization.
If you're ever in the mood, I'd say give the first season pilot a shot. It might be fun ^_^
