Bi-Weekly Review: The Ending of the End- Love and Tolerance Edition · 9:06pm May 2nd

Greetings!

Welcome to the Bi-Weekly Review! The show where we can't figure out how to place images. This fortnight's piece of work is:

The Ending of the End- Love and Tolerance Edition, by: StarlightisVERYcute

Spoiler Alert for the mentioned stories.

Now, a little context before we begin. This story is a reimagining of The Ending of the End two-parter (Duh) and season nine as a whole, where Grogar, instead of being Discord, is actually Grogar. (Revolutionary, I know). Everything up till the two-part finale is identical in every other respect.

If you plan to read this, you might want to strap in as it is quite the long one! Summing to 100289 words! The story is mainly about the 'Legion of Doom' and how their relationships develop over time, but is also about a triumph against all odds and working together to defeat said odds. Throughout the story, the 'Legion of Doom' at first see each other as just means to an end, total domination, or in Chrysalis' case Revenge, but eventually come to realise they not only need the others, but want them. It truly is a heart-warming story despite the utter destruction in various chapters, and I can't help but feel glee at the end for our anti-definitely not, we're just saving the world for our own gain-heroes as they microscopically turn over a new leaf. (Though you can never truly tell with Cozy Glow). I'd love to go on more, but that would just be spoiling it.

I do hold a fondness for the tyrannical trio, and this story is no different. It has some quality moments with the three, as well as with other characters.
Throughout the story, it builds up a feeling of dread as the situation becomes more bleak, and yet, constantly introduces new ways that our heroes may just prevail yet!

I would rate this story: 9.5/ 10.

Until next time folks!

This is the Bi-Weekly Review, signing off.
