Anon tag. Easily featured. Common trope etc. etc.
Of course, those who love it thrive currently in authors giving a lot of content, but this sudden burst of content and guaranteed featuring annoys others.
After all, it isn't the first time blog posts appeared sharing their opinion about how anon stories take over the featured tab. I do not like it, but I don't like many things, so I don't care in particular (just that my own stories get attention if I publish at all at this point ). To each their own, I say.
But, not everyone likes it. Some even write blog posts about it. Not many, but here and there. Comments under them are heated.
But I've got the solution.
Do you want non-anon ficd to get attention? Do you want more authors to write non-anon stories?
Then read non anon fics. Upvote them. Comment on them. Did you put the fic into your Favourites bookshelf? By all Celestia, don't forget to still upvote it! (Fimfic does not automatically upvote the fic if you fav' it.)
While I do agree that anon fics get too much attention—especially compared to the quality of other fics (note, anon readers: I mean that other fics are greatly written and don't get noticed)—there is a reason anon fics get to the feature tab: The readers of anon fics actually do something that these fics get to featured tab. They upvote, they comment, they interact with the author.
So, dear readers of fimfic, you complain about anon fics getting attention? Give other fics the attention they deserve. Upvote and leave a comment. Trust me: I means the world for the author.
But most importantly:
Trixie is best pone.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk that changes nothing
You are welcome.
I personally could care less about Anon myself, as the concept is just weird to me. But I have no disregard for those who like it.
Makes sense. The same argument that is made in real life general elections.
Rock the Vote... YEAAAH.

In case there is any confusion, I have no animus against anon, just agreeing with the "vote for what you enjoy" comment.

Well, I have seen some express rather aggressive comments about this whole thing, and I have seen enough notifications of "your story was put into Favourites" without any change of rating
Hence my blog post. I could've added something regarding the fans of anon stories that annoy me, but it's not worth what might follow

I think not everyone uses "Favorites" for its labeled purpose.
1. Some people use Favorites as a "read later" list. That could explain a few non-upvotes.
2. Others may upvote immediately because they want to support the author! Then they'll add a story to Favorites after they finish reading it later.
3. Of course a few non-upvotes are indeed likely mistakes, as you state.
