Status Update and a peek at my idea

Okay. Still working my way through Season 1. Thanks to work I can only watch on the weekends, but I'm slowly increasing the amount of episodes I watch by the day. Just finished Episode 16 tonight.

All in all? Certainly better than I originally thought. Though, I do think that if I watched this back when it first came out, I probably wouldn't be able to appreciate it like I can now thanks to hindsight. Is it the best thing ever? No. I can certainly say that. But it's not "Let's write a bunch of hatefics" levels of bad in all honesty. I'd probably let my son or daughter watch it if I ever have/had one.

Now then, this blog is both a status update in regards to where I am in Season 1 and also a bit of a peek at what fanfic I'm planning. I have....quite a few actually, but the one I'm talking about here is the primary one that I'm planning to write. That being a Digimon Crossover.

The basic premise is that at some point the Digital World ends up connecting with Equestria. The entire backstory behind this iteration of the Digital World will be explained in the fic, but due to circumstances nine Digi-Eggs end up getting launched through a Digital Gate into the Everfree next to Fluttershy's house. She finds the eggs, takes them in, and the next day they hatch while she's out. The Mane Six find the Baby Digimon and things go from there. I already have the Digimon for each pony picked out, and have a general idea of what their Evolutions will be. However, you might notice I said nine Eggs when there are only six mane characters.

Well, that's cause I'm planning to have Spike, Celestia, and Luna get Digimon as well...also Shining Armor and Candence but that's far off yet.

It's one of the reasons why it'll take a while before I even start writing this fic. Because I need to see what a good point to introduce the Digi-Eggs in Canon is. As I'm certainly planning for things to not go according to Canon once the Digimon get involved. But, as it stands, the only "Time Frames" I know of in regards to the show are "Pre-Alicorn Twilight" and "Post-Alicorn Twilight". And those are from reading Fanfics. So, yeah. I need to at least get through Season 1 before I write anything.

So...yeah. That's how things are right now.
