Happy Holy Weekened · 11:56pm March 30th
My second OC I created in 2013, Atmospheric, is actually a seraph inspired by Christian theology. I wanted to write something serious about an angelic lover who genuinely cared for her partner's well-being. You might take it for granted as common sense in the romance genre, but I've come to realize it's a lot harder to find stuff like that than we expected. I also just thought it was cool as hell being a die-hard fan of extreme metal. There's a lot of nostalgia involved in her character, especially from the early 2000s. She's a throwback to when the world didn't seem so dark and lonely. I wish we all had someone like that.
Happy Holy Weekend! I don't observe the festivities anymore; I will celebrate Pasaj in April 22 instead.
I'm very curious about this "angelic lover" romance you talk about. Would they be bound by their literal angelic nature? Or are they a mortal with a sort of monastic lifestyle that frames their love?
I'm also a big Slipknot, Slayer, and Theocracy fan. Not the most extreme metal, but it's real good

She's immortal. I took some creative liberties with the theology and made her the last of four original angels created by God directly. She's the sister to Lucifer, Michael, and Azazel, making her the seraph of hope. Rather than being a rebel who hated mortals, I made Lucifer a prankster who's kind of the bad influence uncle. Kind of like a what-if scenario where he was never cast out. Michael's still an avenger who punishes the wicked, but he's not really all that angry. Just intense, and Azazel's more like Danny in Doctor Sleep. All he does is guide dying souls to the afterlife. The four of them are super close and train together all the time.
