I'm getting kinda sick of this.

By 'this', I mean all of the shipping stories getting featured. Now, not that I have a problem with shipping; It's my favorite past-time! It's more of the ships themselves that I don't like. Sure, I'm warming up to TwiDash, and I consider RariPie a cool ship[I can't ship it though], but...

Really, Dad? Really? // New Episode Review · 7:04pm Dec 22nd, 2012

Okay, so when I was watching the new episode this morning, My dad, who hasn't watched One Bad Apple yet mind you, when it was ending, he was joking with me when Babs And Apple Bloom hugged goodbye, "Haha, I bet she has a crush on him." Oh, god, you should've seen the glare I gave him.

"Dad, Babs is not a boy."

"Then why does she talk like that?"

"It's a Manehatten accent."

"Sounds more like Brooklyn to me."

"Ugh, same thing. Let's just leave it at that she has a city accent."

And then he dropped it. I'm gonna make him watch One Bad Apple soon, so he understands. Ugh, Dads.

Anyways, onto the episode review.

I did like the episode, although it did make me a little sad/angry we get no hint at all of AJ, Big Mac, and AB's Parents in the Photo Albums. I mean, sure, we get some confirmation that Granny Smith's hair is a very light shade of blonde, so there's some fanservice to quench our aching headcanons.

But also, I LOVE that they had Babs Seed in it, although yet again I'm upset to see no speaking roles for Braeburn, or any interaction with Apple Bloom and Braeburn, and I did want to see more speaking for Big Mac.

Good Episode, not great. I give it 4 and a half stars.

I think it was more of a Joisey accent myself.

The writers confirmed on Twitter that the shooting stars at the end are a reference to AJ's parents, who are now (confirmed to be) canonically deceased.

(And thanks for the fave!)

*shrug* Eh. As a city-born girl myself, I know how to spot one, and that seemed more like a city accent.
And yeah, I know. Too bad they didn't make a semi-sad scene. Earlier yesterday, though, I thought 'Hey, since they're probably not gonna show AJ, Big Mac, and AB's parents, and Lauren Faust quit the show, and on her dA she said that she had originally had The Three Apple Siblings' parents dead, but didn't really use it because it was too sad for a kids' show, Hasbro's probably gonna go all troll on us when the bronies are angry about no parents,a nd they'll say, 'We are just honoring Mrs. Faust's wishes to have their parents deceased,' and then we see the shooting stars, and then I'm all like, "HOLY BALLS I WAS RIGHT!"

Tumbleweed, the shooting stars were a nod to her dead parents. I'm not normal one to believe in such things, but damn... I know what it's like to have dead parents.

642589

*shrug* I don't have dead parents, Poison, But I have a dead parent. My mom died. And yeah, I figured that out as soon as the episode was finished.

642615 Really, I'll I've got is my bro, The Kobra Kid. He's the last remaining member of my family. Sad to here about your mom, tumbleweed. It's hard, losing people.

642622

:duck: The...Kobra Kid?

Yeah, and my older brother's Saint Jimmy :scootangel:

(Not trying to sound sarcastic, honest!...Wow, that sounded sarcastic too.)

642632 What, you don't know about the Killjoys? Hell, tumbleweed...

642649

Neeope. Sorry, tumbleweed.

But, if you can pass the Novacaine over...

642660 Damn, sister. You really need to get with it.

642706

Yep.

I still have a C in the History of Danger Days.

TEACH ME OH WISE ONE

642728 Damn, tumbleweed. I'd suggest watching the videos they made about us. I could fill yah in if you're still buzzed about it.

642893

Sure, Tumbleweed. Fill me up with the reports while I call up the Jesus of Suburbia and tell 'im we're gonna party tonight.

642903 Well, you know how we started off a Battery City Defenders?

642967
Yeah! Good old Battery City, my cousin lives there. Or, should I say, lived.

642986 Sorry about that one. We tried our best. Anyway, Better Living sneaks in and tries to break down on us...

642989

Nah, t'weren't you guys' fault. The Man made 'im overdose on ritalin.

643001 But yeah, we're busy protecting the Missile Kid, and those god damned Better Living Assholes get him!

643063

Ugh, Better Living tried givin' me ritalin to calm me down and ease my natural crazyness.

Heh, that guy's not goin' home to his kids.

:rainbowkiss:

643078 So we break in, and the leader of Better Living grabs me and- BANG

I'm dead.

Except... not. I just hope everyone else is ok.

643085

Oh, right. I remember seeing the video on the news. You might've gotten revived by the Rebellion, tumbleweed. Or Saint Jimmy. Or the Novacaine in my pocket.

I[m pretty sure the others are okay. Although, this one guy died when they were driving 'wy. Sorry, tumbleweed.
