Signal Boost: A Change Is Needed · 3:10am March 6th

If you are already familiar with events that took place on this site on February 1st,
then I direct you to this petition in the hope that things can change.
If you believe you can handle such triggering content as suicide, hate speech, and toxic evangelism, hit the jump.
As I said above, this post is relevant to my previous post, regarding what took place on Feburary 1st.
To avoid triggering content in my own blog, I won't link directly to what happened. You can look it up yourself.
Our staff has been lax when it comes to hateful speech and other displays of intolerance happening on the site.
I'm not the only one, either. Linked is the source of the petition linked above. And in the comments, action at last.
But it's not enough. It shouldn't take a direct confrontation with the culprits for staff to finally decide to act.
Make no mistake, I applaud that the more direct perpetrator was finally punished, even if it was only for a separate matter, but it shouldn't have taken so long, a few days more than a month, for it to finally happen.
T'is my hope that, with enough of us sending the same message, our staff will actually listen to us when we say we don't want this drivel here. Homophobia, Transphobia, MAGA rhetoric, what have you. It has no place here.
