Hi everyone!
Firstly, just wanna say I'm really happy with how the story is going so far, having so much fun writing my silly little stories, and I have planned out a decent amount in advance - where this current arc is headed, who's involved, etc etc. As per the current chapter length pattern, I keep finding myself with just, a bunch of words to write, and I personally quite like the longer chapters, so I'm hoping everyone else does too.
The good news is that the newest chapter, 'Last of the Brave' (There's still a common link between all chapter names that hasn't been pointed out yet), is well underway, but I've been feeling pretty under the weather the last few days, so progress may be a little slow. Right now it's at 2,200 words, and I've barely started the thing, so look forward to a good chunk of reading.
The story transformed a bit from my first ideas, I wanted it to be more of a fun little story of Dinky being rescued, and it's quickly evolved into my exploration of something suffering from an 'eternal life', and I'll most likely change the stories bio to reflect that. I know it can get pretty heavy at points, but I don't want the story to be all doom and gloom, and while it's up to the reader to decide what they get from it, I've been writing it from the perspective of that feeling one gets when they leave a particularly bad period of depression.
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good day, and I'm excited to feel better to continue chugging along. (Also, expect to see some art at some point, I won't add it to the actual story as I'm sure people already have an image in their heads of what the characters look like, but it'll be in a blog post at a later point)
