The end is near, my friends · 11:36am January 24th
Ominous title, right? Well, don't be afraid. I don't plan on going anywhere.
This blog post is about A Dazzling Trio. Recently, my writing has been slow because I can't believe I've gotten this far. When I was writing A Dazzling World, I thought of this whole storyline, but I never thought I would actually stick with a project for this long. I've been known to stop projects simply because I got bored. However, I haven't been bored with this project for a second and now... here we are. Almost 500k words into the Sundagioverse. Did you know novels are anywhere above 70k words? That means I have written multiple novels by now of a siren and a pony. If that isn't an achievement, I don't know what is.
We're at a crucial point right now. After the next few chapters, the rest of the story will fly by pretty quickly. The end of the first arc of the Sundagioverse. I still can't believe we're at this point. I have spent nearly two and a half years of my life writing to get to this point and now, it is about to pass by. While some would call it a waste, I actually feel very happy. I have been able to deliver a story that, for the most part, everyone seems to enjoy. As long as I make one person smile with these stories, then they're worth it.
Even though there are still two more mainline arcs after this, the end of A Dazzling Trio is still the end of a chapter of my life. A good chunk of the story after this will look very different moving forward since the main ideas have already been reached. If it wasn't obvious, the main stories of this first arc have been Adagio's reformation, and the love between Adagio and Sunset. Going on after this, the main plotlines will change slightly. In everything but name, this second arc will be a new chapter of my life. One that should be shorter than two and a half years, but still.
I still have a good few surprises left to show until the end of this installment in the series, so I logistically don't know when I will be done with this part. However, the emotions are building up and I can't help but fantasize about the future like the true end of this series. It will be scary to actually finish something like this, but all good things must come to an end eventually.
To anyone still reading this, I'd like to ask you a sincere question. What has been your favorite part of my series? Something like a moment, scene, etc.
One of my readers said I never fail to impress, but I am a little afraid of dropping the ball on the ending of this series. The best thing I can do is take my time and make sure I craft the best story possible.
Sincerely,
Spyder27
I'm sometimes amazed at how far I've gotten with my own fanfic series and frankly, just looking at the sheer size of one of my ongoing stories makes writing for it feel daunting to me. So, I get what you mean!
Was heartwarming to see Sunset help pull Adagio out of her self-destructive spiral of alcohol and stripping for money

If you're talking about the Sundagioverse, Adagio never stripped for money. She was a nightclub singer
