Fanfic content house? · 2:59am April 22nd
One of my friends asked me what would happen if fanfic writers made content houses like some YouTubers? And honestly, it is not nearly as interesting as they would think.
Fanfic writers tend to be people who stay quiet at their computers while typing away at a document either at 8 in the morning or anytime after midnight. It isn't like livestreaming where doing something random in the middle of the game adds to the content. You can't just write in the fanfic "Hold on. I'mma hit this Mtn Dew can with my elbow. Okay, now let's finish this chapter." The only reason you'd write that is if you have a narrator like Pinkie Pie.
The most I can imagine for a "content house" would be fanfic writers who are really good friends. They might collab on a story or two. They might give each other challenges. Other than that? Nothing would benefit their content or boost it significantly. Living with other fanfic writers wouldn't exactly make my Sundagio stories come out sooner. I don't think this kind of arrangement would help any kind of writers, painters, or even musicians. There are some equivalents like middlemen who help connect artists together. Things like music labels and publishers for writers. However, content houses only really work for livestreamers and YouTubers.
No idea what we’re talking about
