Something Something Something Rough Start · 6:45am January 13th
Hey everybody. Hope everyone has been well and had a good holiday and new year.
It's certainly been a way to start the new year for me. I came down with something on Christmas. Not sure what it was; it wasn't COVID, but it sure knocked me down. Ended up missing some work as a result. Not much thanks to the holidays, but I still feel bad because it was a busy day that I missed and I was having difficulty on some of the other days as well.
And then this week started off with car troubles. I got partway to work when I noticed my engine temperature gauge had gone all the way up, which was followed by steam coming out of my hood. I was able to get off the road and pull into a parking space where I could wait for a tow truck, but the mechanic we usually go to took a look at it and found it was kind of a major problem with the engine. Said he'd have to put a whole new engine in to fix it and he doesn't think he could justify doing that, so he said I should start looking for another car instead. I'm able to limp along for the time being, but... yeah.
Anyhow, I just kind of wanted to break the radio silence somewhat. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here's hoping for us all to have good luck and a productive year.
