** The site seems to lose a higher percentage of "mature" stories per year than non-mature ones. In future years, with this blog post and the accompanying one for non-mature stories, we should have hard data to track that hypothesis.
*** Since stories are lost year-on-year, at some point in the past numbers for all years were likely larger than they are today.
