Why I took six months to publish another story

I took six months to publish another story and I want to explain why in this blog post. I will try to keep it brief, but this post will mostly cover foalcon topics. If you don't enjoy that type of content, feel free to leave.

Most of my scrapped stories felt too dull or didn't fit within the MLP:FiM universe, which caused a delay. I was also hesitant to post any story fearing that it might be disliked or poorly received. I could've gotten pre-readers, but I am too shy to ask for that, and who would wanna pre-read foalcon stories?

In addition, I almost stopped creating foalcon stories entirely when I wrote a blog post about it. However, I ended up deleting the post later, which is why I am writing a second blog post on the topic.

Finally, I wrote a foalcon story called "The Thief and the Little Royal Guard" which I thought was perfect. Even though I was still hesitant, I decided to post it. It ended up being a great success (in my opinion) and became one of my first stories to reach 1K views in a single month.
