‘Izzy Moonbow: Beyond The Multiverse of Randomness’ Slated For February Release + New Tie-In Story Revealed! · 9:24pm Dec 18th, 2023

Hello, everypony. So I just wanted to update you all on a couple of announcements in regards to the final entry into the G5 Universe after Redeemed. I bet some of you probably already forgot that the story was even coming out, but I’m just here to remind you all that it still exists. I’m currently making progress on finalizing the plot for Izzy Moonbow: Beyond The Multiverse of Randomness, and the first few chapters will be slated for a February 2024 release. It will act as a sort of reset point for my interconnected universe and mark the beginning of the LLU, which will be made up of G4 stories. So this fic will be extremely important in understanding the cosmic forces at play that lead into the new franchise, as well as setting up the new status quo.

Now I know what you’re thinking: “How do you continue the story beyond Redeemed’s perfect ending?” Well, by pulling a “Flashpoint Paradox,” of course. Yes, this next story post-Misty Saga will open the doors to the multiverse and allow for a deeply personal journey for Izzy in reconciling her grief over Misty’s death. Obviously, those of you familiar with the original DC Comics story should know the general plot structure. Barry Allen goes back in time to save his mom from being murdered by the Reverse Flash and ends up in an alternate timeline where Thomas Wayne is Batman, the Amazons and Atlanteans are at war, and Superman is being held by the U.S government. I’m basically adapting that story, but within the MLP universe. And seeing as to how Misty died in the last story and Izzy still hasn’t gotten over it, you can already guess what the driving point for her journey through time and space will be, and it’ll be pretty interesting to see how I can make this adaptation its own thing, while still paying tribute to the numerous versions that already exist. I’ll be pulling from two mainline adaptations for this story, that being the animated film Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox that came out in 2012, and The Flash DCEU movie that came out earlier this year. At the moment, it looks like I’ll be pulling more from the latter, but not entirely. The basic conceptual plot will basically be the same, but the story will more so be an amalgamation of nearly all the adaptations of this comic that already exist. It’ll serve as a way to reset the continuity of my MLP universe without disregarding the events of prior stories, and usher in a new mainline universe while still retaining stories that aren’t a part of it.

I’m currently eying an early February release for the first few chapters, and we’ll work our way down from there. It will be my first long form narrative fic in a long time that most likely will surpass 20 chapters, and will be required reading for anyone interested in seeing how this transition between franchises will be like. So we’re in for a wild reboot, that’s for sure. Not only will Beyond The Multiverse of Randomness serve as the last G5 Universe story (but definitely not the last G5 story from me, let’s make that clear), but it will also serve as the first LLU story. I’ll obviously be keeping the nitty gritty details of the plot secret until previews start leaking out near release time, but know that this is set to be quite the interesting twist on the “Flashpoint” narrative to all you DC fans in my audience. Until then, I got something that might keep you satisfied until then.

An official tie-in one-shot story!

You know how DC usually releases tie-in comics that are meant to serve as companion pieces to their DCEU films? Well, I’m doing the same thing here. The story will be called The Misty Saga: Knightmare and will be a short story that focuses on a post-apocalyptic Equestria that’s been plundered under Opaline’s rule. I’m obviously a huge Zack Snyder fan and this will be my chance to really bring his planned Knightmare timeline story that was meant for the Justice League sequels to life. To those of you who watched his cut of Justice League, you know that there is a scene in the epilogue where Batman and a ragtag group of survivors enlist the Joker to help them steal a Mother Box. Zack wanted that in there as a way to finally have this Batman and Joker meet. Well, this upcoming story will basically be that scene, but with some important contextual alterations. The story will take place in the “Flashpoint” timeline that Izzy created, and will see Hitch lead a group of survivors to enlist Sprout’s help for an important mission that I can’t spoil yet. But as he confronts his former deputy, he still has one burning question on his mind, one that Sprout will be happy to answer in his own twisted way.

The story will release near the end of January and will act as sort of direct lead-in to Beyond The Multiverse of Randomness, basically answering the question: “What if Misty failed to save Sunny from Opaline in Redeemed, and the evil alicorn actually succeeded in her goal of conquering Equestria?” Since Sunny is basically my Superman here, you know what that means within the context I just described. Evil Sunny, some characters die, and the world is basically terraformed into Opaline’s likeness. I hope this doesn’t end up ruining Redeemed for you, knowing how things would’ve turned out had we not gotten the outcome we did, but it is still an intriguing scenario that will leave plenty of questions for the big story to answer in February.

I hope this announcement has gotten you all as excited as I am, and I’ll be seeing you all soon with my next few stories on my December slate. Bye!

Sweet! Can't wait to read that!

Ooh, this should be fun!

And with Season 4 releasing on the same month, I can see why you do what you do and where you're going. Sweet! :pinkiehappy:

Oh, Izzy, Izzy, Izzy.

She’s going to mess up so much stuff it’s not even funny.

5759685
Yeah, she will. Sometimes grief can lead you to do crazy things. I can certainly relate to that immensely, so the themes in this story shall be interesting to write.

Yeah, for one someone like Izzy it’s gonna be a painful read.

Agh! I haven't read Redeemed yet, and you spoiled a big shocker for me! Why did you say it in a public forum elsewhere without so much as a spoiler warning?? NUOOOOO!!! 😭

(Lol but really, yeah, I know it's my own fault for delaying my reading of it. Haven't mustered the nerve to after the big burn of The Fall of Opaline, Sunny's betrayal, and the lack of chance for the Mane 5 to act upon what they learned before it happened. Only now did I finally read (and emotion my way through :fluttercry:) Purpose, and I think I'm ready now.) :rainbowdetermined2:

Sorry for the spoiler. I just assumed everyone’s gotten through it at this point as it’s been a month. I hope you enjoy Redeemed anyways and let me know what you think.
