My next chapter · 6:58am Nov 30th, 2023

Hello, all

It's no secret I have been working on a few projects. However, this is one of the last weeks of my semester and my family just got done with Thanksgiving (yes, I live in the U.S.), so my writing is slow for now. I wanted to give a small update since it has been a while since I have uploaded anything in terms of chapters. The last time I uploaded a chapter was almost a month ago on November 5th. It doesn't feel like it has been that long, but it has.

My next chapter has been in development ever since then. In fact, it is coming along great, despite how long it has been. It is over 7k words by now. So, that begs a certain question. Why haven't I released it yet? I tend to release chapters between 3k and 10k words, so this is in the prime spot, right?

Mainly, I can't release this chapter yet because I have one more scene I need to write. If I left this scene out of the chapter, it would be seen as yet another cliffhanger. Honestly, I've done a lot of cliffhangers and they sort of lose the effect if you do them every chapter. The second reason I haven't released this chapter yet is because of the length of A Shimmering Heartbreak...

More than a year ago, I ended A Shimmering Heartbreak at 22 chapters with a little more than 137k words. This next chapter will be the 23rd chapter of A Dazzling Trio, so I want to make it special by making it officially longer than A Shimmering Heartbreak in terms of chapters AND word count. Currently, the story is almost 136k words long, so I am almost done with my goal. I should have no problem finishing that with the last scene I have in mind for this chapter. Maybe it's silly, but I think it would be nice to officially say that A Dazzling Trio is my longest work yet (and probably forever). I don't know if I will ever write a story longer than A Dazzling Trio, much less the Sundagioverse series as a whole. Since we're close to this chapter being released, I think it would be nice to go ahead and reveal what the last three teasers were all about.
