The Marvels: Does the movie deserves so much hate? (My Thoughts) · 3:20am Nov 17th, 2023

I recently got back from watching The Marvels and this might be unpopular opinion... I'm not sure that is right words for it but I honestly like it.

Probably more than Captain Marvel movie in my opinion.

Out of everyone, unsurprisingly, Kamala Khan steal the show for me because she is very likable character and she got a decent character development where she start off as a fangirl of Captain Marvel to a hero in her own right.... it also helps her actress, Iman Vellani is really passionate about MCU and even wrote a Marvel comic! (I suggested you watched Ms. Marvel show on Disney+ to fully understand Kamala Khan)

The film's strongest element in my opinion is the chemistry between three leads... you could tell they have believable chemistry and Carol and Monica's interaction with Kamala are rather adorable.

There's a bizarre sequence where everyone on the planet talks in singing... I am not kidding... that caught me off-guard.

Unfortunately, there are some down. :(

If you watched Secret Invasion on Disney+, don't expect the film to explore the aftermath of show causes it pretty much ignores the event of Secret Invasion and I kindly wished I didn't waste my time with watching that piece of shit show (Peacemaker is better Secret Invasion show than actual one)

Dar-Benn got to be the most forgettable and worst MCU villain... like it could be anyone and no one would gives a shit... she is just a Kree revolutionary who have a hate boner for Carol and that's about it. (High Evolutionary and even Kang the Conqueror are better villain than this forgettable villain!)

Anyway, I am rather sad that film is not doing well at box office... if you have times, I recommend to gives it a try.

At the end of the film, Kamala decides to forms her own team and the hero she first seeks out is Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop with an implications of recruiting Cassie Lang... Young Avengers are finally forming after years of teases!

There's a mind-blowing post-credits scene where when Monica get trapped in another universe after she closes a hole in the universe... guess what she ends up encounter? Kelsey FUCKING Grammer's BEAST!!!!! X-Men are officially coming to MCU!!!!

Thanks for the review. 👍

I'll admit, I'm nervous about this one mainly because Captain Marvel always struck me as how the Dimensional Guardians were like before character development set in.

Only in Captain Marvel's case, it doesn't feel like she grows or tries to become more humble.

Though it does sound like Kamala gets a nice arc. I might check that out, or at least look up her scenes on Youtube if I can find them.

Thanks again for sharing. :pinkiehappy:

Well, if this make you feel any better, Captain Marvel did expressed regrets about her action and her action is what kick off the plot of The Marvels as well her estranged relationship with Monica.
