I easily realized that my story 'For the Better or the Worse' had many problems. Grammar problems, vocabulary problems, and continuity problems between different parts. It was quite blatantly an absolute mess, which is a shame since I liked the idea of the story.
So I decided to rewrite it with the help of a proofreader, making it twice as long and, I believe, twenty times better.

During this period of time, however, I had written another story that was rightly rejected.
The story followed the same idea as the book 'Exercises in Style,' so I knew it stretched the rules a bit. I tried nonetheless, but I was aware that there was an 80% chance of rejection, and so it happened.
