I’ve Restored Every Story I’ve Ever Written + The Official Generation Five Site Shall Be Under New Management Soon · 2:33am Nov 8th, 2023
Hey, everypony! I am back with a casual blog post. Nothing ranty, no calling out a horrible person this time. I just wanted to clear the air and explain some things that have just happened, or will happen. For one, you’re probably very confused about why there are two extra stories before the cancelled Guardians of Harmony story on my story page. Don’t worry, I have an explanation for that, and trust me, it’s not as complicated as it sounds. It’s time to reveal my greatest shame. Guardians of Harmony wasn’t my first story on this site, in fact the Lunar Literary Universe as it is planned out to be now wasn’t even in the development stage.
Back when I was a newbie with no clue on how to structure things, I originally wanted my upcoming Equestrian Civil War series to be a standalone trilogy, and I wrote the sequel to the first story before the original. In fact, I think my friend TheBlueEM2 can attest to this as looking back at my old commments, he seemed to be one of the first ones to see The Battle For Silverstream in its unreleasable form. Yeah, structuring the series like this was a massive mistake that I definitely grew to regret. So I deleted both that and the original story A New Hope after the decision was made to start over with Guardians of Harmony about a year back. The good news now is that they’re both back! Why? Well, it’s mainly for archival purposes. I’ve decided to embrace my not-so-stellar past and restore those stories to be viewed as curiosities, so you can all see how the mad genius you know today once was in his early days. No, I’m not going to continue them as like Guardians, these versions of the stories are cancelled and once the LLU takes effect, both of these stories are to be heavily rewritten and released as new versions with the benefit of my more extensive knowledge on good storytelling and characterization. I’ve also brought back the over 50+ other stories that I deleted in the past that are still in the unsubmitted stage! Why is this? Well, I missed them and I’ve had a renewed love for some of the old ideas that I conjured up long ago. I definitely think that many of these old story concepts are still salvageable and shall be included as part of the Elseworlds line. I’m taking inspiration from Izzy and instead of throwing them away like an old keychain, I’ve decided to unicycle them into something better, something you’ll one day be able to see for yourselves! Yes, just like the April Fools stories earlier this year, I contacted Eldorado and asked him to do a blanket restoration of every story I ever conjured up on this site. That means that I’m interested in writing them again and that you’ll one day be able to see them in some form or another.
Cool, right? Well, it gets even better. Because I shall be officially co-owning The Official Generation Five Site group with TheBlueEM2 starting late tomorrow! Since Crystalbreeze and the old admins haven’t been managing the group for quite some time, I decided to take matters into my own hands and ask Eldorado to transfer ownership to us. That way, we can end the lawlessness that parades that group and start fostering a more tolerant environment where toxic behavior from people like The Ohvist isn’t allowed. Like Batman, I’ve swooped in and decided to do something about all the crime that’s been going around in Gotham City The Official Generation Five Site via the blatant thread hijacking and discussion derailment. So starting tomorrow, providing the transfership is a success, y’all shall have a new moderation team! We are dedicated to making discussion around G5 fun again, especially when the future seems so uncertain post-Make Your Mark. Some changes shall be in order, but I want you all to know that everything that will be done to fix things shall be in the best interests of the community and group, and that I want us to establish an environment where civil discussion is encouraged and proper regulation is enforced. I am so excited to start this new journey with Blue and I want to thank all of you for your support so far.
I am dedicated to improving things around Fimfiction one step at a time in order to repay all the support you have given me so far. Not a day goes by that I don’t appreciate it. With that being said, I shall see you all very soon. Bye!
