Indefinite Break

Hello dear readers,

As one can see from the title, I'm taking a break from writing fics. It has multiple reasons, including feeling like I'm better off doing something else. Writing for me takes a huge amount of time, and the payoff is always kinda… okayish. Sure, my writing is not beginner-like (kinda…), but it's always stumbling over little things that just add up as a whole. And considering just how much time of the day it takes for me focusing all my thoughts and energy into writing any fic, it feels like my energy is better off being put into things that actually work out for what are my own personal strengths. Why should I waste several hours a day into writing (which others can do in much less) when I can do much more in another field?

Other things like programming—might it be like fun projects or even games—is just much more enjoyable: Making things work; and if done in an organised way, it's even more rewarding because you have a clear overview with a nice structure that is easily expandable.

I don't know if and when I'll return to writing. Maybe some interesting contest arrives, maybe I get an inspiration for one specific fic idea, but with announcing my intention, I won't feel forced to come up soon with any new fic. Not having written anything for two weeks and focusing on other stuff like playing around with Godot (the node-system for creating games is so awesome!) was for me so much more enjoyable, and it generally feels like my time is being spent much more productive there.

In short, this blog is just for anyone who might follow my fics to announce that everything is alright with me and no one has to worry that something bad happened—just that no new fics are to be expected anytime soon.
