A Notice of Hiatus · 6:14pm Oct 12th, 2023
Title says it all, really. I'm putting the story on hiatus for now. I don't know how long this hiatus will last, just that "The Crystal Human" most likely won't see a new chapter until after the end of October. I might have a new chapter ready for November first, or it may not see an update until after the new year comes around. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
As for why I'm going on hiatus, I already discussed the current goings-on in my personal life (renovating, moving house and work) in the authors note of last weeks chapter, though recently I've also been dealing with a bit of burnout when it comes to this story. Turns out pushing out as much content I have been in under two months can be a bit mentally draining. Who knew, right?
I should really work on pacing myself a bit more lmao.
But yeah, that's about it. If you don't see an update by the year 2025, assume the story is dead.

Sometimes it takes a minute to plan and such. Sometimes a breather will give a fresh perspective. The hardest part is starting back up again. I get distracted from writing by reading stories all the time.

Huh.....if this story actually resumes at all then this will be the first story ever that I have read on this site that is not dead from hiatus...would be friggin awesome though since thst would give me hope for a few of the others that have not been updated for years like a weapon for hire...that one I have been waiting on for....three years I think???
