Upcoming Works · 1:13am Oct 3rd, 2023
Hello, everypony!
You're friendly jester Jumping Jack here. Bringing you some updates of what to come.
Being back into the saddle of writing, I've managed to get a lot done with two fics that were left unattended for a while. With those completed, that leaves with a couple of other fics that I need to complete. However, something else came to mind to me during the times I was distracting myself from writing.
New ideas!
I have them written down unpublished for now. But I do plan on doing something I've been meaning to do for a long while. With these new ideas, I want to tackle them at once or as much as I can before I start to burn out. I'll try not to leave them on hiatus. Let me start off by saying that Primordial Conflict is getting a continuation of course. Because it is still an unfinished story, but should be concluded in a second book. I have that ready to go and will post it in a couple of weeks or so. For the Primordial Conflict fic, I had one idea that I think would be interesting enough. A prequal to Primordial Conflict. I'll call the project Ancient Works. I'm pretty stoked about it, but before I can do anything with it, I need to conclude the sequel to Primordial Conflict. However, with the projections that the first one made, it'll be a low priority.
For the next thing, Lucid Dreams has come to a conclusion. I'll admit, it went in a somewhat different direction than I wanted, but I think it's for the better for my own creative sake. There will be a sequel of course for that one as well, but no conclusive ideas so far. I do like the concept of exploring dreams and I feel that doing so will allow me to make some cool connections to the characters.
The next thing is something that has been received mixed. However, I would be remiss if I did not stand my ground on it.
Fallout Equestria: Lineage is getting a full rewrite!
You heard correctly. The very first fic I've posted on this site and what led me into a writing craze is getting a complete rewrite. Plot corrections, lore corrections and better world building. Important implications and events will be changed to fit a better paced story. The characters will remain the same with better development pacing and (hopefully) more screen time. For those that have read my Fo:E Lineage, I appreciate you all taking the time to check it out. I felt it tried too hard to make itself included into the original and Project Horizon, which was something young me had in mind. Yet, I should have made it walk on its' own while keeping it familiar. Allow me to express the new concepts.
Courier will remain Courier Road. The brash and courageous courier working for the Crystal Express. The setting will be in the walled off region of the Frozen North. After the megaspells fell, the Crystal Empire was unable to provide aid to all areas affected by the war. This is all caused by the Crystal Empire's own war with the Yaks and Changelings. Since Fallout Equestria takes place after Seasons 1 and 2, I created Lineage in the time of Season 3, where the Mane 6 did save the Empire from Sombra, however, the war distracts everypony from maintaining stable relationships. Eventually, the Crystal Empire built massive crystal walls that bordered the northern region of Equestria, officially closing it off from the rest of the Wasteland and any minor influences the Ministries had upon their creations. The habitants of the Frozen North remained isolated for the full events of the two hundred years as well as Little Pip's sacrifice unable to penetrate the Crystal Wall. However, that didn't stop the Enclave from being unfortunate victims to attrition. An entire fleet of Enclave belt themselves to the Frozen North in order to retrieve stolen tech from the locals, that learned to implement them despite their seclusion from the rest of Equestria. The Crystal Empire, however, falls to a strange phenomenon that is heavily irradiated and uninhabitable that leaves it to be claimed a Death Zone by treasure hunters and scavengers. No pony has set hoof in it ever since and the reason for it lost to time.
The subplot from Lineage, involving the seven elemental beings inhabiting seven vessels, will now have a proper and much more grounded implementation. And it all involves a special package Courier is delivering. More will be explained as I begin work on the overhaul of Fallout Equestria Lineage.
The companion stories in the works will also probably be edited to tie in with the revamp, so changes will line up. I will also have to finish the companion stories and hopefully to make the sequel to it better. I will not delete or do any major edits on the original Fallout Equestria: Lineage as I want it to be not only material to work off of, but to show how much improvement I made and if the revamp does well, fill me with a sense of achievement.
In other events, I have another project that I really want to work on. Something that'll be entirely new for me as I've only ever done one crossover in my life. Let me tell you about my love for the Legend of Zelda series. I've grown up with the series and played almost every game that has come up. I have yet to play Tears of the Kingdom and I've only watched Legend of Zelda CD from a certain YouTube channel. Yet, I can remember most by heart. I've seen the designs of a certain steed companion in the world of My Little Pony and has a cult following if I am not mistaken. However, I've noticed there is only two fics on here that are currently under the radar. I'm not expecting this to gain much traction either, but I write my stories for fun and I post for people to read my ideas, and if not, even take some of my stories and implement them into their own world building if they so choose to.
I digress. What I want to achieve as well is take my love of the Legend of Zelda series and my enthusiasm and enjoyment for MLP and combine them into a true nerd out story. It'll be the fic I'll take priority and I'm uncertain how long it'll be. But I truly want to write my heart out.
In conclusion
I have ideas in mind and have them written down. I'll be posting the first chapters of the sequel to Primordial Conflict before beginning to write on the crossover story. I'll try to balance out keeping both active as best I can. But one might take priority over the other. Thank you for your time to read my stories as well as this blog for future ideas.
