Letter From Saddle Arabia, Addressed To Princess Celestia, Canterlot City, Canterlot Province, Equestria. · 2:31pm Sep 10th, 2023

Dear Princess Celestia,

I write to you with a formal offer of friendship and corporation, in recent years since our beloved Princess Luna's return to Equestria. The Saddle Arabian population has opened up to the idea of a Canterlot diplomatic attaché being sent to the Capital, Madinat. I am personally interested in seeing Twilight Sparkle, and her close companions, and speaking to them with matters concerning the local population and administration. Rekindling relations between Equestria and Saddle Arabia has been a priority of my rule since Luna's return. While the population is more hostile toward yourself, a strong religious fever has erupted throughout the realm ever since then and more recently over Princess Twilight's accession.

However, I do not mean to insult you Princess by saying this, unfortunately there has been a noticeable drift between Celestial and Lunarist circles since the Great Exile. Despite my attempts to offer you an invitation to my country, my Council and moreso my subjects have made it very clear they do not want Sol near them. However, I do not want to spur themselves in radical fervor against you over a now long and resolved past tension. I believe Twilight and her friends can be the bridge between our cultures and nations.

If you feel inclined to send Princess Luna with Twilight and her friends, it would be advised to tell her to keep her public presence minimal. At least until things smooth over between Equine's and Zebra's. Unfortunately, a schism between you and your sister isn't the only religious dogma we face. The neighboring Zebra find our worship and dedication to Luna specifically...problematic... to put it simple. There have been frequent clashes between the Zongo and Maregypt.

The Zebra's believe Luna to be an Ifrit, the savages. My the truth and our wisdom in both weapons and diplomacy crush any attempts to subject Maregypt or Saddle Arabia. Regardless, the neighboring Kingdom of Maregypt has been growing more restless from disputes over....well....everything. Nopony, Zebra, or even Yeti can agree on anything. As Sultan of Saddle Arabia, I am responsible for protecting my brothers and sisters of faith, and my fellow Equines from any harassment from the neighboring tribes and thiefdom's that occupy the continent. I had only recently taken the throne since my father's passing a year ago, and while I am trained, educated, and prepared for conflict. I'd rather spare my subjects from whatever calamity and chaos that could be inflicted by the Zebra.

I trust that your benevolence and wisdom will provide me and my people with the knowledge to overcome such struggles and I await with bated breath for your response Princess.
