Or more specifically, the plans for chapter releases. Yep, this is an important one. Due to a variety of factors, mostly pacing related, I've decided to essentially condense the story for lack of a better term. What does that mean? Less chapters but more actual content per chapter. 4-5k words at least but the climax chapter will probably have more for obvious reasons. Next chapter, not so much but the ones after until the climax? Definitely. Expect the chapter right after this one to be weirdly head screwy; you'll see what I mean. I originally planned to have five chapters in Arc 4 plus one aftermath chapter to round things out. However, I struggled to come up with proper substance considering it would consist of "ponies try to stop tornadoes and then somehow find Aurum." It would have been pointless filler plain and simple and, considering how arguably bloated the story is already, unnecessary and boring. The story's in the top 8000 longest stories on the website for cripe's sake. It was only supposed to be around 30,000 words originally and now it'll probably end up as more like 90-100,000.
How long will it be after this? Three to four which includes an aftermath chapter. That won't be it for the story, there'll be some more character stuff afterwards to round off the characterisation before one big epilogue to mark the end. For this reason, there'll be a delay in the next chapter as it's now going to be longer. The neI plan to release the following 2-3 chapters simultaneously after that because there's a whole loada fighting coming up and fight scenes flows best when read continually. I've finally got everything in place and large parts of the climax, aftermath and epilogue chapters already written; now I just have to write the rest of it. Definitely won’t be done by the end of 2023 because there’s still quite a bit left to go but the finish line’s very distantly in sight.
To sum up; less chapters, longer chapters, therefore longer periods between chapters, the next chapter is delayed for that reason, the following chapters after that will be released simultaneously and then we get into the final stages for this insanely long story. Thanks for reading.
