Official Update#3

Alright, I'm biting the bullet on this one and coming back officially.

Hollow Knight: Soul and Magic will be getting updated once again and I will be back to writing it. First off, go read chapter 8 before I say anything here that will be some massive spoilers for what happens in that chapter. I mean it, go read it before continuing any further.

Alright, let's do this.

So, since I don't have my old files about how I planned this story out, I'll be going through it based roughly on the episodic nature of the MLP show. Not entirely, but similarly enough that story threads will keep some consistency and make it easier to track down. I made some massive changes to who was going to be featured in the story from the Hollow Knight universe. The Hollow Knight will be taking center stage alongside Ghost, Grimm, and the other Vessel. I did not put Hornet in the story as Silksong is in development and I'm not certain I could write her well enough until I have more content to work with. So Hornet is not coming to the story nor do I plan to ever make her appear.

I did listen to mossbang's Hollow Knight lore video to refresh myself for the story and I considered how different Soul magic and EQ Magic must be. Personally, Soul Magic is much more potent and can be way more offensively oriented. Basically, Soul magic I would consider like a form of dark magic but...not exactly corrupting. A foreign magic system obviously but with being in a land full of magic, it does beg the question what kind of Soul-like abilities could be utilized without needing Soul.

I would like to talk more about it but I'll spoil too much. That's my update for a while.
