So, I want to learn how to draw.

Hey, everyone

So, I'm making a blog post to basically say that I want to learn how to draw. Recently, I've felt pretty sad that I can't afford a commission of a picture myself, and then I was thinking about what if I actually tried to draw. The only problem is that I suck... A lot... I'm 21 years old and I feel a little ashamed that I am pretty bad at drawing. Regardless, I want to learn.

So, I'm going to try and do some brief sketches every day. Sketches of poses and anatomy, not really any specific character. If I can get good at actually drawing a character's body, then I can try moving on to things like the eyes, mouth, nose, hair, etc. But yeah. I really really want to learn because... honestly? I've wanted to draw my whole life, but I have always quit before I could actually improve because I wasn't happy with how mediocre the drawings looked. I realize drawing, just like writing, is a process and you have to continually do it over and over to find your style. In no way do I believe I will be good at drawing, but I want to make art other than just writing. I want to someday draw Adagio and other characters and possibly make my own covers for my stories. Until then, I have to practice actually drawing anatomy first.
