Well, everypony, I’m officially busted. Looks like the secret is out. None other than Twilight Sparkle herself will be appearing in a cameo appearance in Redeemed. Grab out the confetti and celebrate. Honestly, this was supposed to be a secret role, but I guess I just gotta roll with the punches here and market it like Michael Keaton’s Batman in The Flash at this point. Let me explain.
So I created this music channel that’s supposed to act like those official movie soundtrack channels that you see for all the major studios. Basically one of the tracks for Redeemed had a spoiler title in it that’s you guessed it: “Twilight’s Spirit.” Oh my Luna, I had no idea you guys were actually watching that channel! I meant to keep it a secret and I was going to reveal that channel after the story was released!! Whyyyyyyyyyy?
Well…since you guys already know, I’ll confirm that it’s true. At one point in the story, one of the characters will be talking with Twilight’s hologram. Now she’s not in it much. It’s more so a glorified cameo like the actual show, but yeah, it’s true. If that increases your hype for the story to levels all the way past the Moon, I don’t blame you. Twilight is awesome and her cameo here was absolutely fantastic. This was one of my favorite scenes to write and it’s really emotionally moving, especially coming off of the last story.
Redeemed will be attempting to tie up as much G5 loose ends as possible, so the one major gripe I had with Make Your Mark Chapter 4 was: “Hey, how come the Twilight Sparkle hologram plotline wasn’t resolved?” Then, I thought of a solution and it really fits here. So yeah, you all know now. Feel free to do whatever you’d like with that info and in the meantime, I’m going to make sure my track titles are less spoiler heavy from here on out.

It’s not Sunny that Twilight speaks to, I can confirm that much. She has her own arc going on in the background while everything else is happening. The others are definitely plausible candidates, though. I won’t say who it is yet. You’ll just have to wait and see.

Just you. But it certainly was enough to send me into ultimate panic mode that my most secret cameo (well, secret if you don’t count the blatantly obvious reveal in the soundtrack) was revealed, that was for sure. I really couldn’t deny it. I knew that since you found out, more people were bound to also find out as well in due time, which is why I cut my losses and just revealed it here. But thankfully, that “certain someone” I was referring to is someone else. While we do get a scene between Twilight and Misty, the latter talks to a lot of characters in the story, so that mystery pony is still a secret at least.
Perhaps I should explain: I found your playlist for The Fall of Opaline while I was looking at your YouTube profile. And while I was listening to it, some of the videos for Redeemed also showed up in the recommended videos. So...yeah. That's how I found out about your music channel as well as Twilight's appearance in the story.
I'm sorry I made you feel like you had to reveal it ahead of time. When I told you I thought I knew who that mystery pony who speaks to Misty is, I just thought it would've been kept between us in case I was right. And I certainly wouldn't have told anyone else.

Don’t worry, I’m not mad at you. I knew you weren’t going to tell anyone as you wouldn’t do that, but I figured that some other fans of mine would decide to get sneaky and click on the black spoiler tag, therefore finding out about Twilight’s cameo. It was never your fault, and I’m so happy that you discovered the LunarMusicVEVO channel and hope that you continue to watch more. I just revealed it because the jig was up at that point. And you know what? That’s perfectly fine.
After all, Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning in Spider-Man: No Way Home was about the worst kept secret in all of cinema history and people were still surprised by and loved it. I’m still counting on this scene to be the cameo of the ages, even if everyone already knows that it’s going to happen. Things rarely go according to plan, so you just gotta roll with the punches and change your marketing strategy accordingly.
So no, you don’t have to worry about that. I’m sure this would have been revealed sooner or later. I’m glad you’re commenting on my blogs again as you haven’t done that in a while and I was beginning to worry if what happened kinda impacted something between us in some way. But I’m totally cool with it now and the mystery pony that Misty talks to later on is still a secret, so all is good.

Yeah, I was very surprised and intrigued when I found that channel. I love when writers find ways to include some musical element to their stories. It makes reading them much more engaging. I'm definitely gonna read The Fall of Opaline again now that I've found your playlist
