    Hiya, lovely peeps!

Welcome to Behind-the-page, the series where I give you background information on my newest release. On today’s spotlight, we have: Relapse!

So, first story on the year on the tail end of April. Suppose I’m going to be a little slow on stories this year as compared to last year. But no matter.

The Absolute Best of Heartstrings - Shelf 1

    Hiya, lovely peeps!

I love the written word. I love books and fanficiton and blogs; I just love reading in general. When I first picked up reading in 2016, I expected stories to be just that - stories. There’s a plot, characters do this and that, reach climax and end plot. I didn’t know that ‘themes’ and ‘depth’ and ‘feels’ were ever in those stories.

I’ve never been glad to more wrong.

Three years. Who would have thought? · 6:47pm May 19th, 2023

Hiya, lovely peeps!

Today is special. Today is important.

Today is an anniversary.

More specifically, today is the 3-year anniversary of the publishing of my first story on this site. Today marks three years since I started writing.

How to Host a Party was born in, believe it or not, the bathroom. I was just in there, minding my own business when, my mind suddenly had the genius idea of making Sunset host a slumber party. As soon as I was done, I sat down at my laptop and let my fingers glide over the keyboard. I wrote the story in one sitting, taking only about an hour. Then I created a very mediocre-looking cover art, crafted my short and long description and gave the story a final polish.

And then I hit ‘Submitʼ.

Since then, the story has gathered over a thousand views, 70+ upvotes, three reviews and one audio reading. It still stands as my top-rated story, with an upvote-downvote ratio of 35:1. It might not be the best story ever, but it is my best story. Words cannot describe how proud I am of it.

How to Host a Party also changed the course I was taking on the site. Before, I was content with simply reading and commenting. But after that? Buoyed by the storyʼs positive reception, I decided it was time to really dive into creating. Not just stories, but art as well.

Which leads me into todayʼs celebration.

To commemorate this milestone, I am launching a special, limited-edition, discounted commission. For only $5, I will craft a logo of your username, with as much detail as you want. It can be a simple, 2D design, it can be an elaborate textured design, it can be anything. It can be something I'd usually sell for $20, but I'm only doing it for $5. So long as it's either typography or word art, it's good.

Only 10 slots are open. Starting from the moment this blog goes live, only 10 people will benefit from this. To book a slot, either comment on this blog, or shoot me a PM.

Thank you to everyone who helped make How to Host a Party so popular, and thank you to everyone who has stood by me all this time.

Get your discounted $5 logo now. This is a limited edition offer.
