Bit of an update · 7:02am May 4th, 2023
Hey guys, been a while.
So, Let's talk Odyssey. Don't get scared, I'm not quitting. I've spent nearly two years writing it thus far, I'm not quitting now.
But, as is obvious by the lack of uploads, momentum's stalled again. I've planned out the chapter path, done the dice rolls, everything, but can't find the energy to get the damn thing rolling again. But like I said, not quitting the story.
Instead, Odyssey is going on a temporary hiatus. Once I feel back in the groove with this story, I'll drop everything else and work hard to get it out. There are two other reasons I'm taking a break from Odyssey, though. One is that the next couple of months are going to be pretty busy IRL, and the other is all of my writing momentum is instead shifting towards wanting to write original, non-Talviraverse stories. Some of those are new, some are as old as this account. I wouldn't mind trying to get one or two of those out while on break from the main story, if only to try my hand at something a little different and come back to Odyssey fresh.
Might as well add something else while I'm here. Something I originally planned on saying at Odyssey's end, but (knowing how long that'll take at this point) may as well say it now. I like this little lewd AU I've set up. I'd love to detail every angle, but I'm only one guy, after all. So, if any of you ever felt so inclined, feel free to write your own addition to the Talviraverse. After all, there's a near 20 year time skip between the end of Purity Test and the beginning of Odyssey, so there's plenty to work with. Maybe the adventures of original characters in the lust-filled Equestria, or even how Talvira's takeover affected other nations. And just to be clear, this isn't me begging for someone to do it for me. Like I've constantly said, I'll stick with this story to the end. But I've often wondered what kind of stories in this AU you guys would create. So, an open invitation.
I think that's about it from me for now. I'll let you know when Odyssey's back on track.
I had an idea to develop an Odyssey spin-off but my problem is trying to emulate or respect the essence of the story without resulting in a generic rape fic. so I backed off and better leave it like that.
In case you're wondering, one of those ideas was applebloom being captured by demons and how she ended up on the farm.
