Casting Call For Princess Luna Now!! Auditions Open!!!! [CLOSED] · 7:02am Apr 29th, 2023
Yeah, the title speaks for itself. I need help. Basically at the beginning of my G5 defense video, I have a small skit where my OC Hawk Nightwing is talking to Princess Luna about his insecurities about how he’s been scouring the Internet for a while and how he feels like the only one who loves G5. These insecurities reflect my own throughout the process and the conversation gets personal with Luna and Hawk having a heart-to-heart. The skit ends with Luna suggesting to him: “Why don’t you make your own video?” And then Hawk’s all like: “Great idea!” That’s when the video begins proper. Yeah, it’s corny, but some of my favorite Brony YouTubers have small skits at the beginning of their reviews and I’m looking to replicate that sort of thing to grab viewers’ attention.
I’m in the process of finalizing the animatic as it’s the last section I need to finish before all work on the video is completed. But considering 15.ai is still down for the foreseeable future, I have a really innocent question….
Do any one of you want to try your hands at voicing Luna? I’ll probably have the script for the opening skit done by late tomorrow or something. I understand this may seem like the craziest thing ever, but you don’t have to be an experienced VA. If you think you have the pipes of Best Princess, go for it!! I’ll send the script over when it’s done, as well as the completed animatic, and you can send me your auditions. Best impression wins and gets to be in the video.
I really don’t know how you all are going to respond to this and I fully expect universal rejection, but it doesn’t hurt to try. At best, I’ll try again somewhere else on this site and at worst, I’ll scrap the opening skit and post the voiceless animatic as a deleted scene post-release. I just think this is a great way to get you all involved in the process as a reward for sticking with me thus far. Feel free to let me know in the comments and all contenders shall get PMs explaining things further.

I personally don't trust myself to give a decent performance, let alone do a passable Luna impression. Otherwise, I would've loved to help. It sounds very interesting

No. I was unable to find anyone, so I’ve closed the audition and decided to do the video without the skit. So yeah, sorry. I should update the title saying it’s closed.
