New Story Announcement: Shifting Sides · 11:20pm Mar 24th, 2023
I am pleased to announce that I will be posting another story soon: Shifting Sides.
It is a short (approx. 6000 words) dark thriller following my OC Grim Fate in the New Lunar Millennium.
Taking on a decidedly different tone than Culture Shock, it is set at the end of the war between the Lunar Empire and King Sombra's Crystal Empire, Legate Grim Fate has to desperately fight for her life as Lunar forces close in on the collapsing Empire. Shifting Sides features thrilling action, a dark setting, and many a pony meeting a grim fate (har har) all in a neat, tidy 6000-word package.
The story is fully written, proofread, edited, and prepared to be published, but I'm waiting for an artist whom I commissioned to finish drawing the cover image. I expect it to be finished by the end of the month, but there may be delays. Hard to know with these things.
I'm still trying to find my footing as an artist and figure out what I enjoy writing, but I'm fairly pleased with how this story turned out and I hope to write more like it in the future.
