Another eye-opener · 12:57pm Mar 20th, 2023
Yesterday, I listened to a preaching from an LGBTQ+-affirming church via Facebook livestream. One of the things that the pastor said is something that I agree with. That there are Evangelical theological bullshit statements that one shouldn't say to those who are in pain and suffering.
Those statements include:
"God has a plan"
"God has a reason"
"God is in control"
"It is God's doing"
"It is a sign from God"
"God is punishing you"
God is not the one who caused people to have diseases. He is also not the one who caused natural disasters. Diseases happen because of genetics and/or people's unhealthy lifestyles. Natural disasters happen because of the things that people do to the climate. I'm so glad that this church has the common sense to point all of these out. I hope that people would open their eyes, unlearn the Evangelical BS, and realize that things that are going on around the world are caused by people themselves.
To simply put, Roman Catholic Church: Spreading bullshit to push their agenda and control the populace since the beginning of time.
Come to think of it, I can see the similarities between the Evangelical bullshit statements about God and Emperor Belos's bullshit statements about the Titan.
His statements include:
"The Titan has told me to spare the owl lady's life" to everyone in the Boiling Isles
"The Titan has big plans for you" to Hunter
And other statements like the Titan doesn't like wild magic.
Well said. The response to those questions should be 'I don't know'. That's better than most of the bollocks Evangelicals put out.
I love watching those kinds of people having to eat their own words.

Precisely! Aside from "I don't know", staying silent is another best response according to the pastor.

Agreed. A challenge to faith is not solved by spouting bullshit.
