My original account on Discord has been compromised · 2:49am Oct 24th, 2023
A friend of mine said they got their account back after it was hacked by a hacker.
That hacker sent reports to people on their friends list, including me.
The report would lead to my account getting banned within 12 hours.
They gave me the name of a certain user. I reached out to them and gave them the ticket ID that was shown on the screenshot.
They gave me instructions on how to prevent my account from getting banned. They told me to change my email and open an e-wallet in an app called Paybis.
So I did and after going through a verification process, they asked me to send an amount to a BTC wallet, but my cards got declined.
So I went to an e-wallet that I haven't used for a long time, but I couldn't get in.
Then I told the user that I gave up and I'm willing to face the ban of my account.
And then they told me that they're going to lock my bank account and call the police for something I didn't do.
I told the user earlier that I'm innocent and I didn't purchase anything illegal, but they disregarded that after I said I'm willing to have my account banned they said they're going to call the police.
To those who are friends with me on Discord, please don't engage with my original account as it's now handled by an impostor. Unfriend/block it for your protection.
Yeah, I ran into that yesterday. I've blocked it for now. It was very obviously a scam.
Ran into the same shit a few hours ago. The guy claimed to be part of Discord Team Support, and tried to steal my account. They failed, obviously, but they did have me fooled for a bit.
