Yo. Welcome back to the After-Sex Smoke. The story of the day is a sequel and another commissioned story. Speaking of commissions, I’ll have a little announcement going up soon about the state of commissions here at DrySpell Inc. Anyway, without further ado, I present to you the topic of today’s discussion: Growing The Herd.
This is going to be a shorter one since there isn’t much to talk about. As I said before, this is a sequel in the same universe as the story before it. I tried to portray Button as a bit more mature, now that he’s a father, and tried to make his thoughts and actions believable and accurate to his character. That was a bit of a challenge though, as most know him as a kid who loves video games.
Finding a way to add Fluttershy into the mix was a bit challenging for me. I’ve realized that I tend to make things too complex in an attempt to push the plot forward, which can hurt the story overall. I’ll definitely try to work on that in the future. Overall, I think the story is fine but I could have done better.
