    Adventures on Hiatus

Yesterday, August 7th 2024 (the day before the eclipse) I posted the last chapter of "Adventures of the TARDIS" for an arc I completed, and that was with some struggle. Throughout much of the year of 2023, my muse just shut down because of some changes I was going through in my personal life. Namely, I was about to move

Well here is something to celebrate. Not exactly sure when it happened but finally have 100 followers here on Fimfiction. Nice. For reference, been here since February 6th, 2019. Made lots of friends and connections along the way, some of which may be reading this blog. Cheers to you all, and thank you all for making this journey magical.

    Compleated the Hollow Paradise arc

The second arc of Adventures of the TARDIS is concluded. It's shorter than the last but the TARDIS crew got a few lucky breaks in it. Not every adventure of theirs has to be super hard, but the reason it still has to be written is because it is meaningful. Changes occur within it that shapes every chapter going forward. This includes a new objective and a new companion joining them from this

    Completed Water World

Compleated the first arc of Adventures of the TARDIS today. Specifically the arc called Water World. This is akin to a group of episodes in Classic Doctor Who which focuses on a single storyline. Often the next set of episodes is written by a different writer back in those old days, but not in this case. Nevertheless, Adventures of the TARDIS follows this same formula. The completion of one story

New information has come to my attention about certain times and days of the week when the viewership of a story increases, and likewise when it does not. All of this information can be found here.

When is the best time to post a story? -- Answered with SCIENCE!

Of all of this, I find the most important information to be the following.

Hopefully, you can tell: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are good days for posting a story. Friday is the worst.

and

You'll notice that the green line is highest from around 1200 (Noon) to just before 2000 (8pm).
Again, this is what I think is the best time to put a new story out there -- if it's a story that needs all the help it can get.

This information is gathered with a year of database collecting which kind of reminds me of a certain organized and OCD pony I know.

So, as a result of this research, I'm going to try moving my post dates to Monday at noon, PST. I even set a reoccurring alarm for that. Going to give that a shot for a while and see how that takes, especially since I generally only post one chapter a week, if that. As for the story I'm currently posting, I'll post it on Saturday one last time but add in the author's note of that chapter that the next posting will be on the upcoming Monday. From then on it will keep posting at that date.

But there is an exception. I'm also going to try to avoid posting on holidays by posting the story on either Sunday or Tuesday if that is sufficient to dodge the holiday on Monday. Not only does new viewership seem to drop on times like that, but even pre-established readers who are already hooked tend to drop out.

Furthermore, I think I'll also stop posting any story on the last two weeks of each year and the first week of the next year because those times are just dead space on fimfiction. Too many people are busy traveling and visiting their families for the holidays. Although they might be on Christmas Vacation or something similar, viewership on this website drops during those times while posting increases because everyone else thinks it might be a good time to post when a lot of other people are out of school and/or work too. I'm going to avoid that trap by taking a "vacation" from posting during those times, even if I am currently posting an incomplete story around that time. It's better to probably just wait till the story has the best chances of success.

That's the bottom line, and so is this sentence on this blog.
