    Eight years

I have officially been on Fimfiction for 8 years!? It doesn't even feel like it's been that long. Well, I'll probably be writing Fimfiction for another few years. Time flies, and I have to say that despite all the time it takes to write my stories, it's well worth it. I really don't plan on stopping, as this is a way to keep myself busy, and overall, I enjoy writing my crazy stories and seeing

To Where and Back again Parts One and Two

This is the Season Six Finale, and I have to admit this was really good as it did a fantastic job wrapping up the season's main plot points very well and gave us more world-building with the Changelings. I mainly liked how it was centered around Starlight Glimmer, as most of the episodes focused on her dealing with her past and making amends, and this was the ultimate challenge for her not to

    Thoughts on Top Bolt

This is another episode I felt like abit out of place, but I did enjoy watching it as I relate to Vapor Trail a lot. The idea of this episode is mainly centered around two ponies: a shy, somewhat nervous mare named Vapor Trail and a stallion Pegasus, who is rather full of himself named Sky Stinger. The two usually work as a team as new cadets training to be a part of the Wonderbolt Academy, but

Thoughts on Where the Apple Lies

This episode is one that I would not expect to be in season six, but it was one of my favorite episodes in the season, given how it gives us some backstory to the Apples, which I honestly enjoy when an episode focuses on the Apple family. The episode is basiclly a fable to teach Apple Bloom about telling lies and how Applejack got herself into a heap of trouble lying to Filthy Rich about selling

Thoughts on Slice of Life · 4:27am Jan 17th, 2023

This is a very intriguing episode, as some would say it's too random and doesn't make a lot of sense. To me, it's perfect, as up until this point, nearly every episode was centered on the Mane 6. The only time they've been "side characters" was in CMC-centered episodes, and even then, they usually play a significant role. This time the episode focused on background ponies who didn't get much attention in the earlier seasons, which gives it more world-building.

So the Story starts off with mules Matilda and her soon-to-be husband, Cranky Doodle. Still, Derpy accidentally screwed up by sending the invitations with the wrong date throughout Ponyville. This starts a chain of events that leads us to see the lives of the other background ponies in the show.

Derpy reminds me a lot of myself regarding being "clutzy" she has a medical issue that causes her to be somewhat crosseyed and affects her cognitive functions. Seeing her stressed out over the invitations and seeking a way to reverse her mistake was also interesting, as I've had that experience many times in my life. Despite her misgivings and clumsiness, she's hardworking and does her best to rectify her mistakes.

Dr. Whooves: So after Derpy learns of her mistake, she seeks out Dr. Whooves, presumably to see if he can use his "science to go back in time and fix her error. But this only leads the doctor to freak out, seeing his suit needed to be tailored. His laboratory was such a sight to behold, with many exciting inventions, including a plane and flameless fireworks. Also, I much enjoyed his overreacting over the bowling scene regarding all the variables showing how socially awkward he is.

Bon Bon and Lyra: learning Bon Bon is a secret agent, and her name is a cover Special Agent Sweetie Drops, and she works for an organization known as SMILE. Also, I read a small comic Book called Lyra and Bon Bon, the agents of SMILE, and that's given me a crazy idea for fanfiction as I would love to go even deeper into this secret agency. Also, I felt terrible for Lyra, seeing this was a big bombshell dropping on her. They smooth it over in the show, but at least the small chapter book I read goes into more detail and how Lyra handles learning all of this.

Octavia and Vinyl: Near the episode's finale, we see Vinyl and Octavia practicing for the wedding and combining their talents in glorious fashion. Also, seeing the two living together and knowing this episode confirmed their best friends was amazing.

Overall this could be seen as silly "filler," with it being basiclly fan service, but it was done with a lot of heart and good humor thrown in. I think it deserves to be a fan favorite as I feel that the fans made this show what it is more than anything.

Random Thoughts

The CMC seeing the Mane six acting strange and them debating over if it was a monster attack or a friendship problem was hilarious and a great way to break the fourth wall.

We saw Button Mash as another background pony was a treat.

Seeing Princess Celestia and Luna fighting over who forgot the wedding gift was rather wholesome to see how they squabble like any other pair of siblings.

Also, seeing Shining Armor crying during the wedding was also rather funny and adorable.:pinkiesad2:

Gummy's existential monologue was just. :coolphoto:
