Merry Christmas! You Got a Hiatus (and a New Chapter)!

What!? Three chapters in only a little over a month!?

That's an academy record!

Okay, okay, that's not really a record for any fic, even one that isn't mediocre. Plus you're probably wondering about that "hiatus" in the title anyways.

So, with Act 2 now complete, I want to take a little time away from Different Events to focus on another, completely new fic I have in the works project. My plan is to put Different Events on hiatus for a few months while I get a few chapters of the new fic out the door work on it. After that, the two fics will probably be worked on in a 1-1 alternating pattern. That could always change if I get burnt out on the other and/or get a surge of motivation for this fic, though. Now don't worry, this hiatus isn't happening because I lost motivation or whatever; the rest of the fic (save for the resolution following the climax) has already been planned out, so it's just a matter of opening a new doc and writing more once I'm satisfied with the new fic's progress.

That said, it's possible you'll be seeing another chapter out of this fic around the same time next year, but we'll see how things go.

Anyways, that's all for now. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas (or whatever culturally significant festival you celebrate at this time of year), and I hope you all have a great 2003!

Yeah, so that "new fic" has basically been canned. Instead, I'm now focusing on a different pony project that I should've been devoting more time to all along.
