Jim Henson's The StoryTeller and The The StoryTeller Greek Myths
If you are a Jim Henson fan you should definitely check out these two little known series he worked on called The StoryTeller and The StoryTeller: Greek Myths which is a sort of spin-off of the first one.
The StoryTeller is about a man who tells stories each evening by his fireplace and these stories are about the legends, fables, myths, fairy tales and other tales passed down through cultures around the world.
The spinoff/ sequel The StoryTeller: Greek Myths follows a similar format to the first series with the man telling stories and then coming to life on the screen except now it follows the different myths and legends from Greek Mythology.
The two series have a rather dark fantasy theme and utilize a lot of Jim Henson's original puppets and spins on the stories.
If you haven't watched these series I would definitely recommend checking them out! They were some of my favorite shows growing up.
Freewing Alchemist also reminded me that there were some graphic novel/ comic series released in the franchise. One is called Jim Henson's The Story Teller: Dragons. Another is called Jim Henson's The Story Teller: Giants. Some others in the graphic novel series include Jim Henson's The Storyteller: Ghosts, Jim Henson's The Storyteller: Tricksters, Jim Henson's Storyteller: Fairies, Jim Henson's The Storyteller: Sirens, and Jim Henson's The Storyteller: Shapeshifters. They are also very good! I recommend checking them out as well.
