It's been one of the many questions I have when I come upon fictions where the 'Great and Powerful' or 'Humble and Apologetic' Trixie turns out to have familial roots to one of Equestria's greatest spellcasters (though he never did achieve alicorn status), either by direct descent or via some relative to Starswirl.
