Shrouded by fear, living in darkness
Ponies together, surrounded by fright
But then there's this feeling, of hope and of faith
Far in the darkness, a small peak of light

Even though his fur is as dark as can be
His body and hair, it's all shining bright
The frightened look up and engulfed in the rays
They see their champion, the savior of the night

The ponies, their fear, yes it all disappears
As the bright glow takes 'way all pain
Darkness and shadows, evil drawing near
Are all scared away, their efforts in vain

His mane and tail, colours be as blue as the night
Shining as they were both red
The darkness around him, the sadness and grief
Vanished and killed till it's dead

Our lives are now safe, in the hooves of this colt
Our sorrow took off in the night
His golden eyes masked by the goggles of blue
Our hero, our champion, our Light in the Night
