Yeah, sorry if I panicked everyone after blogging about food poisoning and then not blogging for a month. It's ok, I'm alive. And not dead.

Anyway, just today, a friend of mine dared me to write a fanfic. I'm not going to say what it is, except, like all of my fics so far, it's a good idea that will probably be poorly executed. It's also a one-shot, so it (hopefully) won't eat too much of my time.

For Mother's Day, my brother and I took my mother to the movies. We went to see... (Wait for it.)
Oblivion.
I wasn't expecting much, just a generic action movie, preferably not one as bad as Olympus Has Fallen.
What I got was an awesome sci-fi drama with multiple plot twists.
So yeah, not at all what was expected. In fact, we (much to my chagrin) chose it because it seemed like generic action.

Right, I now have inordinate amounts if free time on my hands. An additional several hours to goof off. Sure, I won't be taking any more vacations than simple trips to my family or down to Corpus Christi for a day, but hey, that's how I like my summers. Nice and lazy.
Over the summer I have but one goal: finish my symphonic arrangement. I am currently much farther behind on that than I anticipated.

As most people who know me know, I absolutely hate Chatoyance's stories. Most of it revolves around the misanthropy present in pretty much every one of her works.
That being said, the only thing to do is read more of her stories. She fascinates me, really. I read her works with a morbid curiosity of the worst kind. I want to see how far her hatred runs, how deep the wellspring of injustice starts. And let me tell you, it runs deep.

Right, first up, I survived my annual trek into the wilderness.
Once every year, I go into a nearby state park or the like with only a tarp, sleeping bag, a book, spare socks, and my IPod, as well as a backpack to carry my stuff, and stay there overnight. I remain there for the better portion of the next day.
Basically, I go into the wilderness and fast for 24 hours.
