Sorry about the big delay in posting, I just finished the last of my finals less than an hour ago. For the last few weeks I have had little to no internet access, and when I did, I had to work on my final projects. But that's over now! I will be posting something very soon that I think everyone will like. Then I will finish rewriting my other stories.

If a story is written in first person view, and the character has an accent, identifiable manner of speaking, etc., should the "thoughts" of that character be written in the same way as their dialogue?

Personally, I think the answer is no, and that is how I write. This mostly for the sake of clarity and ease of reading, but there may be times to deviate from this within the story.

What do you think?
