Okay, yesterday was the final exam. It's all over! Enormous sigh of relief.

Sorry for the lack of chapter these last couple of days, but work is very much back on track now for Chapter 13. Currently it's about 2000 words, but I'm probably going to scrap about 1000 of them and rebuild that bit. Even so, it should be done tonight or tomorrow provided writer's block doesn't rear up and murder my face.

Okay, Chapter 12 is being written right now. (I can't believe it's chapter 12 already, what madness is making time go by so fast?) 12 will be mostly tying up the loose ends from the 2-parter, and setting things up for the big hopefully-bold-text-worthy arc that will carry the story to its conclusion.

It's kind of annoying when a prediction comes true. Due to Physics exams and general madness I've not been able to write for the last few days, however I've got the first 1000-ish word of Chapter 10 sorted out tonight. Hoping to get it done within the next 2 days. (A bit of Celestia this time, actually. She's a brilliantly fun character to write internal dialogue for.)

In other news, the new chapter is being a bit of a problem child at the moment, it doesn't seem to want to come into the world without a fight. Currently on rewrite #2. It should be fixed up and posted in the next few days, though.

Just dropping a note to say thanks for the great support and positive reaction to A Bluebird's Song. I fairly confidently expected it to bomb, and it hasn't, so yay! Chapter 5's just passed the 1600 word mark. I'm definitely bringing Spike into the next chapter, maybe Rarity too, but not 100% decided on that yet. Hopefully the main plot arc of this story will kick off properly next chapter.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Best wishes for the new year, time to eat truly insane quantities of food, etc. Chapter 3 of A Bluebird's Song is well on the way, and just passed the 1800 word mark. It's about half done, so it should be up in the next few days, family permitting. A bit of character history exploration this time around.

The second chapter of A Bluebird's Song is being written at the moment. Christmas is slowing it down because of irritating trivial things like social interaction, but with a bit of luck it'll be up shortly on either side of the 25th. Also, rating bombing on this site is really becoming a problem. I've read about six stories today that are easily 4 or 5 star material, but are hovering in the 2s and 3s because of trolls. Definite sadface.
