Yes, the RNG loot system is still screwing me.
Yes, I want to take Strike idlers and put a fishhook through their testicles.
Yes, I am doing some shameless achievement hunting (Going to a level 12 strike with a fireteam consisting of a Level 23, 26, and 24, and get the "Flawless Striker" achievement, for no one dying.)
Alright, I'm about to say something, and it can't leave this blog.
Seriously, if I ever find out who spread the word, I will start a very questionable rumor about that person's mother.
I had a pretty fun time in Destiny tonight.
Or rather, Brady's.
After getting assurances that it could be completed and shipped to me before the 7th, I commissioned this for Brady as an engagement gift. Can't wait to see the look on his face.
Also got "That Just Happened" just before work tonight. After eleven attempts, sheesh.
Currently pre-downloading the Master Chief Collection. 65 GB, plus a 20GB patch on Day One.
Or rather frustratingly, it hasn't happened yet.
This week, all my gaming time has been dedicated to getting the "That Just Happened" achievement in Halo: Anniversary. To do so, you have to fight through the four floors of The Library on Heroic without dying. For the unfamiliar, The Library is Halo: Combat Evolved's seventh, most difficult, and worst-designed mission.
Here have been my attempts so far:
1. 1st floor, surrounded
2. 1st floor, surrounded
With the Master Chief Collection coming closer and closer, Halo is dominating more and more of my time and mind. Aside from going nuts trying to nab the "That Just Happened" achievement (completing The Library on Heroic without dying), I've been turning my attention to the lore, and what I'd like to see in the coming games, Halo 5 notwithstanding.
I believe I have become much, much less impulsive as a gamer. I'm passing on both Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and The Evil Within, for two reasons.
One, obviously, I'm trying to help Brady get enough together to move out here in ten months. Every little bit helps.
Well, with Shout Factory posting, um, a LOT of clips on YouTube two weeks ahead of the DVD release, I can safely say that progress on the Rainbow Rocks Letter is going faster than I anticipated. Currently sitting at 880 words strong.
That being said, I'm going to let everyone get a chance to see it first.
If it's done and polished, I'll put it out on November 1st.
