that means a lot to me! I poured more of myself into that story than almost anything I’ve written. I was afraid that the poetic inflections would come across as jarring or melodramatic. I’m glad you liked it! When regular prose becomes unable to convey what I want it to, I break to poetry. I don’t claim to be the best poet in the world, I only think its application is to describe emotion as only it can. If you’d like to let me know what your favorite bit was, I’d love to hear it.
